Congratulations, this is a good example of a niche site. Sometimes you just need to focus on a specific topic.
Now on to the review.
The first thing I noticed, is that your site redirect users from the root "/" of your site to a folder called "public", I don't know why you need this setup, but personally I prefer not to be redirected.
I think you exagerate a bit when you said that your site is "a must see". I told you this because, your site still uses tables for layout and inline styles, and honestly it's not a cutting-edge design.
Regarding content, a good amount of it was taken from U.S. Government Agencies, newspapers and other sources. Although you have cited the source, I'm not sure about the copyright implications of doing that. The worst thing is that it's very hard to find or distinguish any original content. In this matter your site's content dissapoints me, being catalogued at dmoz as a magazine or ezine, it doesn't have information about an editorial team, authors or contributors.
Finally, a custom created favicon would look better on Firefox, instead of the current mambo cms default favicon.

Agreed on content, we are working hard to get our articles and specific columns in place...The wonderous growing pains of a new site (6 weeks old)
Yes we are thinking about getting out of the web design business and this is one of the outlets we are hoping to use to do so...
Forgot totally about the favicon...I will definitely get this done by week's end
