New Google Toolbar with the Autolink feature
Today, while browsing I noticed the update of the google toolbar.
Finally the controversial autolink feature has made it's entrance. This feature creates autolinks of content of pages if they contain book's ISBN to buying links by default from amazon.com, addresses to maps by default from MapQuest and car's VIN to vehicle history providers by default CarFax.
The controversy arised, because this feature scans page's content and creates links to one of the default providers. In the real world this would never happen, for example, is like someone in a store telling other people to go shop to a competing store or placing their own ads next to every item in the store.
Google toolbar differences
This is a snapshot that I took of the old toolbar.
Compare it with the new google toolbar.
