Restructuring the site

This site is going to have major changes in the next few months. Some sections will be tidy up to focus better on webmaster resources, free templates and articles for business websites.

Our own free templates

After reviewing the free templates available for download on the site I noticed many can be easily improved with different color schemes and additional visual elements.

New Design v.3

I finally finished the new design v.3 for the site. I get rid of html hacks. I find out that our previous top navigation tabs - based on the css sliding doors technique - used a child selector hack which potentially can cause problems on Internet Explorer 7.

Web Hosting Directory

The new Web Hosting Directory will list web hosting providers from USA, Canada and UK.

Removing HTML Hacks

Many html hacks that web designers have used to make pages look the same accross different browser versions, will need to be updated soon to remove them. The reason behind this is that Microsoft will be rolling out the new version of Internet Explorer (IE7) this year.

IndexCore(IC) Web Hosting - Review

After an "interesting" experience with Apollo hosting, I have moved onto IndexCore(IC) hosting. They are more media friendly company for developers, designer and other walks of life to host multiple sites.

New Projects

We're back. Now it's time to start working on the new features of the site and the projects we left undone in the past year.

Our priorities for this new year are:

2.95 domains .com .net .info .biz .us

I found this very interesting offer for .com .net .info .biz and .us domain names. The offer is good for up to two years ($2.95 x 2 = $5.90), apparently there's no restriction in the number of domains allowed for registration.

Foxmail email client no longer english support

I have been using a very good email client for Windows called Foxmail, which is one of the most popular email clients used in China.

Overselling server resources

Many web hosting companies oversell server resources. This scenario is always worst if you deal with a reseller, many of them look for the ability to overselling plan accounts.
